fishingnet.ca is a web portal focused on providing information to all sectors of Canada's commercial fisheries and related industries from coast to coast.

fishingnet.ca was developed from a perceived need to help better promote the industry as well as to provide a resource to those involved.  The use of the Internet and computers in general has exploded over the last 5 years, however the commercial fishery has seemed to lag in this area.  Information on the industry, especially that in Canada is limited and difficult to find.  fishingnet.ca hopes to solve that problem and become a central resource for the commercial fishery of Canada and its related industries.
